MARTIN-PAUL FAMILY CHRISTMAS 2008

The Martin Family got together on Christmas Eve for our annual Christmas get-together. All the kids were there, everyone got along and had a great time.

On Christmas Day Nana, BopBop, Shawn, Sharon, Brandon, Justin and Storm all opened presents and had a relaxing day. Brandon was very excited to get a surf board and we had alot of fun giving him clues all day. Justin got his bmx bike and they both got alot of Marine gear and presents.

Young Marines Boot Camp Graduation

Brandon and Justin both joined the Young Marines in September 2008. They belong to Whitehouse Young Marines out of Mac-24 in Virginia Beach. Brandon graduated with honors and is now guide for the unit. He is a private first class now. Justin did very well and is now a private. They both really enjoy it and they both have plans of joining the Marines when they are older.

Graduation was very nice. The unit has a Gunnery Sargent and a Major in charge as well as other enlisted Marines, but during graduation a retired general and commanding officer came and congratulated them. Brandon received an Intel coin and special belt for graduating with honors. Both sets of their grandparents and their parents were able to attend.

HORSESHOW 0CT 4, 2008

Sally and Justin competed in the same event. They both did very well.






All four cousins together, that doesnt happen often anymore.











Justin and Splash are buddies. They get along great and have a fun time riding.

Justin, Lauren and the kids from the barn where in a horse show this past weekend. I entered one event but didnt place. Justin won first in 2 events, 2nd place in one event and 5th place in several other events. He had a blast and can't wait until the next show.

VACATION 2008

This year for vacation the kids decided to do local stuff and hang out at the beach all week. Justin tried skim boarding and Brandon discovered the fun of hanging with his friends at the ocean front(like mother like son).

Colonial Williamsburg trip

The kids went on a homeschool field trip to Colonial Williamsburg. They enjoyed themselves and actually learned something.
